Carrick Swan GAA Notes

All adult and juvenile teams will have training schedules confirmed this week with selection committees being finalised at present. We look forward to seeing all our players back in action after their winter break and we look forward with confidence to the year ahead. We again remind supporters that more help is needed within the club, particularly with our underage players. We also remind members, both playing and non-playing, that annual membership subscription should be paid now. All juvenile players will be issued with their ‘application for membership’ form during the week and this should be completed, signed by parent/guardian and returned immediately.

The numbers drawn in our weekly juvenile lotto on Thursday 20thJanuary were 5,7,15 & 23. We had no jackpot winner and three match 3 winners, Edel Murphy, 11 Seskin Court, Mark Phelan, 5 Deerpark Close and Gerard Hogan, 22 St.Johns Tce. each win €70. Thanks again to all those who support our lotto and we encourage those who have not yet joined to do so at any time by contacting any committee member. This week’s jackpot is €3,000.

The cards for our annual sweep on the Aintree Grand National have been distributed to members and business premises throughout the town and beyond and we look forward to your continued support.

The club sends get well soon wishes to club Vice President Neddy Digman who has been hospitalised recently.

Disco for 8 – 13 year olds will take place on Friday night next in juvenile centre from 8.00 – 10.30 p.m. All children are welcome to attend with strict supervision at all times. We remind parents / guardians that children who gain entry to disco cannot leave the centre before 10.30 p.m. without their consent. Children should also be made aware of this as those supervising cannot allow them leave without authorisation. We ask those supervising to be in attendance at 7.45 p.m. on Friday night.

Carrick Swan club extends its sympathy to the family of the late Pat Nugent, St.Johns Terrace, who died suddenly during the week.
